Three people have been killed and 30 others wounded in at least six separate shooting near major university campuses across the US following a bloody weekend of Halloween, homecoming and football rivalry violence.

At least 6 people were wounded near the University of Delaware when a gunman opened fire in a packed downtown Newark, Delaware, street about 11 p.m. — sending costumed students fleeing for their lives.

Two suspects have been ID’d, and police said they believe the men tried to force their way into the party about 90 minutes after cops shut it down and told revelers to go home.

Police Chief Michael Pickett described the night as “two senseless acts of violence,” as witnesses described chaotic scenes during a tailgate outside of Birmingham’s Legion Field shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday, AL.com reported.
