The violent crime rate in the United States fell at the fastest annual pace in 90 years, according to newly released FBI figures covering 2025. Property crime fell an estimated 12.4% in 2025, with burglary down 15.8%, larceny-theft down 9.8%, and motor vehicle theft down 22.7%.
