OUTRAGE: On 9-11, Church of England’s Leading Bishop, Archbishop of Canterbury Sarah Mullally Presented ‘Reconciliation Award’ To Islamic Cleric Who Honored Osama bin Laden

There seems to be no limit to what Mullally can do, after booking raves in St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Dame Sarah Elisabeth Mullally was ordained the 106th archbishop of Canterbury on 28 January 2026.

As archbishop, she is the senior bishop of the Church of England and the ceremonial head of the Anglican Communion.

And from day one, we all expected it to be a catastrophe.

“Dame Sarah Mullally presented the “reconciliation and interfaith” award to Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi, chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, a group of Islamic scholars, at a ceremony at Lambeth Palace on Sept 11.

Mr. Ashrafi’s council awarded Bin Laden its highest honor in response to the UK Government giving Salman Rushdie a knighthood in 2007, describing him as a ‘Muslim warrior’.”

“Last week the Hubert Walter Award for Reconciliation and Interfaith Cooperation was presented to Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi in a ceremony at Lambeth Palace.

The award was given for Imam Ashrafi’s longstanding support for religious minorities in Pakistan, particularly the Christian community – support that is valued by many Christians in Pakistan including its Anglican Church.
