Counter-terrorism police are investigating whether Iran is behind a suspected bomb plot in Gloucestershire, United Kingdom, after officers found explosives in three vans stopped just minutes from Royal Air Force (RAF) Fairford—a U.K.-owned base operated by the U.S. British authorities received a call at 12:45 a.m. local time on Sunday reporting three suspicious vehicles heading toward RAF Fairford. Later on Sunday, photos emerged online showing five men being detained by police. Authorities have not disclosed their names or nationalities. The five men were initially detained on explosives charges; however, later on Sunday, they were re-arrested on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act. [snip] “It was an amazing job. We had them under investigation. They were looking to do big damage to our fort. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) previously highlighted U.S. bomber operations at RAF Fairford—home to the US Air Force’s 501st Combat Support Wing and 420th Air Base Squadron—warning that any base supporting attacks on Iran would be considered a “legitimate target.” (*) Full article: https://www.oann.com/newsroom/trump-praises-amazing-arrest-of-5-terror-suspects-near-u-k-raf-base-used-by-u-s/ Post navigation Send this to that Democrat voter in your life Has prelude to World War III arrived? ‘Key players greatly underestimate the potential for disaster’
