The Trump administration has begun sending $500 refund checks to nearly 1 million Americans who were overcharged for ObamaCare insurance. The Treasury Department’s checks will be sent to over 950,000 Americans across 30 states, along with a signed letter from the president. President Donald Trump originally announced the refund checks in an earlier video posted by the White House during the Republican midterm convention on Sept. 10. [snip] “Our administration has discovered that under sleepy Joe Biden, American households buying health insurance through the ObamaCare exchange, which is a disaster, and the HealthCare.gov were massively overcharged, to put it mildly,” Trump said. “They were forced to pay excessive fees totaling over 500 million dollars.” Trump also endorsed the Republicans’ healthcare legislation, known as The Great Healthcare Plan, which he said will lower drug prices, reduce insurance premiums, and bolster industry transparency.
