A MAN has been accused of murdering his missing wife and lying to the cops about how she was taken by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The disturbing truth was revealed after authorities discovered burned human remains. Jasmine Gill was last seen at her home in Sacramento, California on September 30, and four days later, she was reported missing by her cousin, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said. [snip] Gurinder and Jasmine were in the midst of a divorce and child custody battle at the time of her disappearance, authorities learned. On October 1, officials found burned human remains in El Dorado County, nearly 70 miles east of Sacramento. Investigators were able to confirm the remains belonged to Jasmine by linking jewelry found on the remains to her, a Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson told KCRA. [snip] Jasmine lost her father at a young age and was raised by a single mother who worked full-time as a nurse in India. She followed in her mom’s footsteps to become a registered nurse. “Perhaps the most heartbreaking part of her story is that she was fighting for a better future for herself and her baby,” the fundraiser read. [snip] “My daughter used to live in Sacramento and she was subjected to a lot of cruelty. They murdered her and burned her body,” she said. “I request that my daughter’s body be sent here.
