Her school district was at the center of a recent Supreme Court ruling that said males cannot play in women\u2019s sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although the ruling was a victory for her position, it came at a cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[snip]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students and teachers were openly hostile to Adaleia, according to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/outkick-sports\/adaleia-cross-new-claims-scotus-trans-athlete-sexual-harassment-scandal\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adaleia Cross\u2019 homeroom teacher said to her \u201cI see you as less of a person\u201d when she wore a t-shirt that said Save Women\u2019s Sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How is a person like that allowed to be around kids? Just the worst kind of person.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/jomgjueWjq\">pic.twitter.com\/jomgjueWjq<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2014 Jennifer Sey (@JenniferSey)&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JenniferSey\/status\/2075390302660313551?\">July 10, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMy homeroom teacher, who I\u2019d had for two years, told me that she sees me as less of a person,\u201d Cross said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[snip]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPeople I love don\u2019t want to talk to me now,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ACLU, which supported the male athlete, said the harassment claim was false.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the Alliance Defending Freedom fought back for her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[snip]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur client has sworn under oath and under penalty of perjury in numerous cases about the events that took place between her and the male athlete,\u201d the ADF said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adaleia had to \u201cstep away from the sport she loved entirely and sacrifice a key element of her school experience to protect herself,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The school let her down, Adaleia said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThey told me they would do a full investigation into what I told them,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd then, all of a sudden, it was like nothing else was happening, it was done, and it seemed like they thought nothing of it because they didn\u2019t talk to us about it at all, they just left it there and didn\u2019t tell us anything else, so it just made it seemed like, yup it\u2019s done.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[snip]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou would have kids separated to try to not be around [the athlete], but it was still hard because during track meets, you had to be around [the athlete],\u201d she said. \u201cGirls were just uncomfortable. They didn\u2019t want to be around [the athlete].\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She said it was galling to watch the male win a state championship just before the Supreme Court ruling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt was extremely frustrating for me and for I know several other girls,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">[snip]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adaleia said she relied on God during those tough times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen I first had the option to stand up, I was 14, and I was terrified, and I didn\u2019t really want to,\u201d Cross said. \u201cI told God that I would do it if He made it abundantly clear for me, and He did.
