A teacher at Horizon Elementary School in Loudoun County, Virginia, is facing criminal charges, accused by law enforcement of assaulting a student. [snip] Loudoun County Public Schools has placed Ms. Bowen on leave, telling the school community in a letter that “the safety and security of our students and staff is our highest priority, and we take any allegation of inappropriate conduct involving a staff member extremely seriously,” according to Washington’s WTTG.
