ICE HSI Seattle investigation leads to 27-year prison sentence for child sexual predator

An ICE Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) probe resulted in a 27-year prison sentence for a dangerous repeat offender pedophile who preyed on children, coercing young girls to produce child pornography for him. Corbett Lloyd Craig, 42, of Goldendale, Washington, targeted his victims on social media and enticed them with money, said US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Craig pleaded guilty to two counts of enticement and attempted enticement of a child and one count of possession of child sexual abuse images. Judge Mary Katherine Dimke ordered him to be placed on lifetime supervised release following his lengthy prison term. He was sentenced on June 26 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Washington.

“He enticed one of the children by offering her money via gift cards and online payments. This is an adult who knew the girls were just kids — but he still intended to elicit sexual material from them,” said Venturella in a press release. “I’m incredibly proud of the Homeland Security Investigations special agents who invested their time and effort into this case to bring some measure of justice to these young girls and their families.”

An HSI task force, comprised of local and federal law enforcement agencies, executed a search warrant at Craig’s home and discovered thousands of additional files of child sexual abuse material, according to the investigation.

Federal investigators discovered child abuse images from his 2017 case and a child he had personally victimized on his computer, authorities said.

“Mr. Craig was fully aware that his actions were not just extremely immoral, but illegal as well,” said acting HSI Seattle Special Agent in Charge April Miller. “This sentence will keep this predator off the streets and keep our children safer. HSI will continue to investigate these crimes against children. We owe our communities nothing less.”

HSI is ICE’s investigative branch that handles a wide range of matters outside of immigration. Under President Donald Trump’s term, HSI has repeatedly put sex and human traffickers, child predators, fraudsters, and leftist Antifa extremists behind bars.

The Klickitat County Sheriff’s Department assisted HSI Seattle with the investigation. This case was prosecuted by Assistant US Attorney Michael Murphy.
