The Logic Walz and MN Pardon Officials Used to Clear Child Sex Predator Will Bend Your Mind

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and his partner in crime, Attorney General Keith Ellison, continue to prove that they place wokeism far ahead of safety, fraud prevention, and basic governance.

In the latest incident, as our Sister Toldjah reported, Walz approved a pardon in June for admitted child sex abuser Tou Lue Vang, a Laotian national who has been living in the U.S. since he was a child. He pled guilty in 2005 to first-degree criminal sexual conduct and was sentenced to 12 years for his repeated unspeakable acts against a 10-year-old girl.

The vote by the Minnesota Board of Pardons, which is composed of Walz, Ellison, and state Supreme Court Chief Justice Natalie Hudson, was a unanimous 3-0. The get-out-of-jail-free card purged Vang’s felony conviction from his record and prevented his deportation.

Or so Walz, Ellison, Hudson, and Vang thought. Enter Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who, as Nick Arama wrote, terminated Vang’s legal status in the country. He has been sent to the exits and is in Laos.

While Walz and his fellow sanctuary politicians fight to protect heinous criminals like this, we will continue putting the safety of the American people FIRST.

Now, documents from the parole board and the state Clemency Review Commission, which forwards recommendations to the board, reveal their preposterous logic, which would have led to Vang’s lurking somewhere near one of the Gopher State’s famous 10,000 lakes as a free man. Their musings are as mindless as you would expect, considering we’re dealing with Jazz Hands, Ellison, and Co. here.

It’s true that in normal situations, not having a father is not good for the child or for society — but not having a sex predator with an eye for kids in your house seems a lot more important. The mental leap here defies all common sense.

But wait, there’s more:

Artika Roller, another commissioner who voted in favor of the pardon, wrote, “The applicant stated the need for clemency related to immigration issues.”

Of course he has immigration issues, you blithering idiot. He’s here illegally, he is a convicted felon, and he was facing deportation. All of those things may have been issues for him personally, but they are not reasons to purge his record of disturbing crimes and let him stay.

Vang’s own past statements should be reason enough alone to give him the heave-ho:

Sorry, Vang, you’ve been living here since you were a kid, so I don’t know why you’d think a foreign culture’s alleged disturbing “cultural thing” would have anything to do with it. This is the United States of America, not Laos. But to suggest the victim is at fault? We’re going straight to the airport, pal, and you’ve got a one-way ticket to Southeast Asia.

He later walked back some of those remarks and expressed remorse, which was enough to sway some members of the commission.

Commissioner Perry Moriearty wrote, “Despite the extraordinary severity of the underlying offense, there is substantial evidence of rehabilitation, remorse and acceptance of responsibility.” He also noted in his reasons that Vang “is facing deportation” and “victim supports.”

What leftist, forgive-the-criminals gobbledygook. Some even sympathized with Vang’s concerns that because he’d lived here most of his life, deportation would force him into “a place entirely unfamiliar” to him, “with no family, no home, and no future.” Don’t abuse little girls, and you won’t have that problem.

I like Rubio’s conclusion a whole lot better:
